UNIT – 1 ELECTROSTATICS

  • Electric field intensity due to a dipole

Hi everyone In tis Post I am Sharing a extraordinary book for JEE Aspirants .
It is a book of Physics named - Resnick Halliday & Walker.

WHY THIS BOOK IS SO SPECIAL AND POPULAR AMONG JEE ASPIRANTS?

To answer this, I would like to share my personal experience with this book. I am that kind of person who didn't believe in the theory and text written until I see any photo proof related to it. In this book, in every theory part and topic, you will see a wide variety of photos related to that particular topic and the speciality is that most of the photos are Coloured.
Yes, you read it right, the photos mostly are in colour. And the language in the content text is so easy, as i have seen most students say that the foreign author's book is tough to understand. But this book is totally written is such way that we can read it easily and its coloured pictures develops interest in studying that topic.
That's why it is so popular among students.
But you have devoted a lot of time in studying it's theory although it is easy but still it is explain in a little bit deeply so more the time you study itmore your topics will become strong and you will have a better grip on the chapters. Also, a lot of solved and unsolved examples and questions are given which are very good and sufficient to practice. This book has covered all the topics of 11th, 12th classes as well as more information is also given in this book. This book is all-rounder if you study it properly. That's the reason this is one of my favourite book.

Now, What Is Physics?

According to this book, Science and engineering are based on measurements and comparisons. Thus, we
need rules about how things are measured and compared, and we need experiments to establish the units for those measurements and comparisons. One purpose of physics (and engineering) is to design and conduct those experiments.
For example, physicists strive to develop clocks of extreme accuracy so that any.
time or time interval can be precisely determined and compared. You may wonder whether such accuracy is actually needed or worth the effort. Here is one example of the worth: Without clocks of extreme accuracy, the Global Positioning System (GPS) that is now vital to worldwide navigation would be useless.

Concepts of Physics | HC Verma | IIT BOOKS



ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

HC Verma sir, he is a retired professor and nuclear physics researcher at  IIT KANPUR. And of course the author of this master book. He is the co-founder of social initiative "SHIKSHA SOPAN" who works for the betterment in field of education for the economically weak but talented students living nearby IIT kanpur campus. Before coming to IIT Kanpur he was a lecturer at "PUNE SCIENCE COLLEGE" and worked there for 15 years. Currently he is working to introduce more good books to make some difficult chapters such as- electrostatics, magnetism easier for the students.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

HC Verma
This book is excellent in terms of both theoritical and numerical point. This book has deeply explained theory and a lot of real life illustrations to make the topic easier to understood. Apart from this, subjective, objective, very short, and short type questions are also given. Language used in this book is simpler and quite easier to understand. The book presents a calculus based physics course which makes free use of algebra, trigonometry and co-ordinate geometry. Almost no knowledge of physics is a prerequisite. This book will give you the attempt to start each topic from the zero level. But a receptive mind is all that is needed to use this book.
The book has various kind of problems adapted from real life situations. So that the student can more focus on the concept instead of mugging formulas. You will find the "ROPE AND MONKEY PROBLEMS" a lot interesting while dealing with them. Focusing on some chapters such as - kinematics, newton's law of motion, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics is recommended, as they are slightly difficult to understood as comparison with other chapters of this book.
